This policy describes what happens to personal data when you visit ovisual.com, a site about custom trading software — indicators, automated strategies, backtesting and research tooling. It is written to describe what the site actually does, not what a template assumes it does.

Who runs this site
ovisual.com is an individually run site. For any question about this policy, or about the data the site holds on you, write to ovi2004+ovisual@gmail.com.
Server logs
The web server records every request it answers. Each log line contains your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring page if your browser sent one, and your browser’s user-agent string.
These logs exist to keep the site running and secure: diagnosing errors, spotting abuse, and blocking the steady traffic of automated vulnerability scanners. Raw log files are rotated and deleted after 30 days. A summarised traffic report (visit counts, popular pages, browsers, countries) is generated from them and kept longer, but it is aggregate — it contains no IP addresses and does not identify individual visitors. Neither the logs nor the reports are shared with anyone.
Advertising
This site displays ads through Google AdSense. The AdSense script runs on ordinary pages of the site and is provided by Google, not by ovisual.com.
Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies or similar identifiers in your browser in order to serve ads, measure how they perform, and limit how often you see the same one. Depending on your settings and location, those ads may be personalised using data Google has collected about you across the web. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller under its own policies — ovisual.com does not receive, store or have access to the data Google gathers this way, and cannot see who you are from it.

Giving and changing your consent
In the places where consent is legally required — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — Google asks for it through a consent message shown before ads are personalised. If you saw that message when you arrived, you can reopen it and change or withdraw what you agreed to at any time through the privacy or consent settings link it offers. Your answer is stored in your browser, so clearing site data or switching browser or device will bring the question back.
Consent given there covers personalised advertising only. It does not affect the server logs described above, which are kept for running and defending the site regardless of any advertising choice, and the Google and industry opt-out links listed above work independently of it.
Cookies set by the site itself
The site sets no cookies of its own for ordinary visitors. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site, and those are strictly functional — keeping a session signed in and remembering editor preferences. Advertising cookies described in the previous section come from Google, not from this site.
Embedded content from other sites
Some articles embed material hosted elsewhere — a YouTube video, for example. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site directly: the provider can see your IP address, set its own cookies and track your interaction with the embed. Their privacy policy governs that, not this one.
Email you send
If you email about a project, that message and your address are kept in an ordinary mailbox so the conversation can continue. They are used to answer you and for nothing else — no marketing list, no sale or sharing with third parties. Ask and correspondence will be deleted.
Please do not send account credentials, API keys, broker logins or other secrets by email. If code or data needs to change hands for a project, we will agree on a sensible way to do it first.
Comments
Commenting requires a registered account, and public registration is closed, so in practice the site takes no comments from visitors. Should that change, comments are filtered by Akismet, an anti-spam service run by Automattic: it receives the comment text along with the commenter’s name, email address, IP address and user agent in order to judge whether the comment is spam. What the site does not do
There is no newsletter and no mailing list. There are no user accounts for visitors. Beyond what is described above there is no third-party analytics script, no tracking pixel and no social-media widget — the only traffic measurement is the log-based summary described under “Server logs”, which runs on the server and puts nothing in your browser. Nothing on this site takes payments or asks for financial details, and no personal data is sold.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. Write to ovi2004+ovisual@gmail.com and you will get an answer within a month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
In practice the only personal data this site holds that can be tied to you is server log data for up to 30 days, plus any email you have sent. Requests about what Google’s advertising cookies hold have to go to Google, using the links above — that data is not accessible from here.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts doing something new with personal data — a contact form, a mailing list, an analytics tool — this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. There is no version history kept, so it is worth re-reading if the date has moved.
